Our commitment: Your photos remain private. Swipix never uploads your photos to our servers. All your images stay on your device.

2. Data Collected

2.1 Photos and Videos

Your photos NEVER leave your device. Swipix accesses your photo library in read and write mode locally only to:

  • Display your photos in the application
  • Organize your photos according to your choices (keep/delete)
  • Move photos to albums

No photos are uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers.

When a photo carries GPS coordinates, those coordinates are sent to Apple's geocoding service — and to Apple only — so the application can display the corresponding place name. The photo itself is never sent.

2.2 Usage Data (Firebase Analytics)

We collect anonymized data about your use of the application to improve your experience:

  • Screens visited and features used
  • Application usage duration
  • Interactions with premium features
  • Technical data: device model, iOS version, application version

This data is anonymous and does not allow us to personally identify you.

2.3 Crash Data (Firebase Crashlytics)

In the event of an application crash, we automatically collect:

  • Technical crash reports
  • Application state at the time of the crash
  • Device model and system version

This data helps us identify and fix bugs. It does not contain any photos or personal data.

2.4 Advertising and Attribution Data (AdMob, Meta, TikTok)

For users of the free version, we display advertisements via Google AdMob. We also measure the performance of our advertising campaigns using the Meta (Facebook) SDK and the TikTok Business SDK. The following data may be collected:

  • Advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you authorize it via ATT (App Tracking Transparency)
  • Approximate location data (country)
  • Interactions with displayed advertisements
  • Installation and campaign attribution events, and subscription purchase events

If you decline tracking in the ATT prompt, these partners do not receive your advertising identifier and we do not send them attribution or purchase events. The Meta and TikTok SDKs may still transmit a pseudonymous, app-scoped identifier and technical device data for aggregated, non-personalised measurement. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

The advertising SDK is initialised for every user, but advertisements are only displayed to users of the free version. Premium subscribers do not see any advertisements.

2.5 Subscription Data

For premium subscriptions, Apple collects and processes your payment information via the App Store. We do not store your banking information. We receive:

  • Subscription status (active/expired)
  • Subscription type (monthly/annual)
  • Subscription start and end dates

This information is processed on our behalf by RevenueCat, which manages subscription entitlements. In addition, when you start a subscription, the purchase event — the product identifier, the price, the currency and the billing period — is transmitted to our advertising partners (Meta and TikTok) so we can measure the performance of our campaigns. This transmission is subject to your ATT choice.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we process your data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of contract: Access to your photos to provide application functionality
  • Legitimate interest: Anonymized analytics to improve the application
  • Consent: Advertising tracking (ATT), push notifications

4. Use of Data

We use the collected data only to:

  • Provide and improve Swipix features
  • Identify and fix technical bugs
  • Analyze usage to optimize user experience
  • Display relevant advertisements (free users only)
  • Manage premium subscriptions

We never sell your data to third parties.

5. Data Sharing

We share certain data with the following services:

  • Firebase (Google): Analytics and Crashlytics - Privacy Policy
  • AdMob (Google): Advertising - Privacy Policy
  • Meta Platforms (Facebook): Advertising campaign attribution and measurement - Privacy Policy
  • TikTok (ByteDance): Advertising campaign attribution and measurement - Privacy Policy

Advertising-identifier-based sharing with Meta and TikTok only takes place if you have accepted tracking in the ATT prompt. These services are GDPR compliant; those established outside the European Union rely on appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

6. Retention Period

  • Photos: Stored only on your device, we do not have access to them
  • Analytics Data: 14 months (Firebase)
  • Crash Reports: 90 days
  • Subscription Data: Duration of subscription + 3 years (legal obligations)

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

In accordance with GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: Obtain a copy of your data
  • Right to rectification: Correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure: Delete your data
  • Right to object: Refuse certain processing (advertising, analytics)
  • Right to restriction: Limit the use of your data
  • Right to data portability: Retrieve your data in a structured format
  • Right to withdraw consent: At any time for advertising tracking

8. Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption of communications (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Limited access to analytical data
  • Compliance with Apple security standards
  • Your photos remain on your device, protected by iOS security mechanisms

9. Minors

Swipix is accessible to users aged 4 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 without parental consent. Photos remain on the device and are never transmitted.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy. In the event of significant changes, we will notify you via the application. The date of the last update is indicated at the top of this page.
