Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Last updated: August 4, 2026

How does Swipix work?

Swipix helps you organize your photo library in a simple and intuitive way. The app presents your photos one by one, and you decide whether to keep or delete them with a simple swipe:

  • Swipe right → Keep the photo
  • Swipe left → Delete the photo

You can sort your photos by different categories: "On This Day" (memories from previous years), by month and year, recent photos, random, screenshots, videos, and much more with the Premium version.

Once you've sorted your photos, you can validate them to permanently delete them or move them to custom albums.

Are my photos safe?

Absolutely. Swipix works entirely locally on your iPhone or iPad. Your photos NEVER leave your device.

Unlike other apps, we don't upload your photos to our servers, we don't store them in the cloud, and we have no access to them. All sorting, organizing, and deleting operations happen directly on your device.

Additionally, when you delete a photo, it's first placed in iOS's "Recently Deleted" album for 30 days, giving you time to recover it if you change your mind.

What's the difference between the free and Premium versions?

Free version:

  • Basic categories: "Shuffle", "On This Day", "Month/Year", "Recents", "Sorted"
  • Limit of 20 sorted photos per day, extendable by watching optional rewarded videos
  • Ads displayed periodically
  • Basic statistics

Premium version (4.99€/month or 49.99€/year):

  • All advanced categories: "Duplicates", "Screenshots", "Videos", "Heaviest", "Favorites", "Albums"
  • Unlimited sorting - no daily limit
  • No ads
  • Sorting and export to your own albums
  • Detailed statistics about your library
  • A free trial when one is offered — its duration and the price charged afterwards are always shown before you confirm
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time directly from your iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap your name at the top of the screen
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select Swipix
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current period (month or year). You won't be charged after that date.

Important: To avoid being charged, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the end of your trial period or current subscription period.

Does Swipix actually delete my photos?

Yes, but with built-in safety. Here's how the deletion process works:

  1. Sorting: You swipe photos left to mark them for deletion
  2. Review: You can review all photos marked for deletion before validating
  3. Validation: Once validated, photos are moved to iOS's "Recently Deleted" album
  4. Grace period: Photos remain in "Recently Deleted" for 30 days
  5. Permanent deletion: After 30 days, iOS automatically and permanently deletes the photos

You can recover your deleted photos at any time during these 30 days via the native iOS Photos app.

Does Swipix upload my photos online?

No, never. This is our main privacy commitment.

Swipix works 100% locally on your device. Your photos are never:

  • Uploaded to our servers
  • Stored in Swipix's cloud (we don't have one)
  • Shared with third parties
  • Analyzed by online artificial intelligence
  • Accessible by our team

We only collect anonymous usage data (Analytics) to improve the app, but no photos are included in this data.

For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

Do I need an account to use Swipix?

No. Swipix doesn't require any user account, registration, email, or phone number.

Simply download the app from the App Store and open it. You'll only need to grant access to your photo library for the app to work.

If you subscribe to Premium, it's automatically managed through your Apple/App Store account.

Why does Swipix ask for access to my photos?

Swipix needs full access to your photo library to function, as the app must be able to:

  • Read your photos to display them and let you sort them
  • Modify your library to move photos to "Recently Deleted"
  • Create and manage albums (Premium feature)
  • Access metadata (creation date, size, type) to organize by category

Important reminder: All these operations happen locally on your device. We never upload your photos.

If you deny access to your photos, the app won't be able to function.

Does Swipix modify the quality of my photos?

No, never. Swipix doesn't modify your original photos.

The app only:

  • Displays them on screen
  • Organizes them into categories
  • Moves them to "Recently Deleted" or to albums

Your photos keep their original quality, metadata (date, location, etc.), and format. No compression, no modification, no editing.

Can I undo a deletion?

Yes, for 30 days.

When you delete photos via Swipix, they're moved to the "Recently Deleted" album in the native iOS Photos app. You have 30 days to recover them.

To recover a photo:

  1. Open the Photos app (native iOS)
  2. Go to the Albums tab
  3. Scroll down to Recently Deleted
  4. Select the photos to recover
  5. Tap Recover

Warning: After 30 days, or if you manually empty the "Recently Deleted" album, the deletion becomes permanent and irreversible.

Tip: We recommend always backing up your important photos to iCloud, your computer, or an external hard drive.
